Tom Chavez
CEO & Co-Founder

Before starting Krux with Vivek, Tom served as General Manager in Microsoft's Advertiser and Publisher Solutions (APS) group. Prior to Microsoft, Tom was CEO of Rapt Inc. from its founding in 1999 to its acquisition by Microsoft in 2008. Before Rapt, Tom worked as a systems architect at Sun Microsystems and as a researcher at the Rockwell Palo Alto Science Lab. He holds a B.A. in Computer Science and Philosophy from Harvard and a Ph.D. in Engineering-Economic Systems and Operations Research from Stanford University, where he was a NASA Doctoral Fellow. He serves on the boards of industry and nonprofit organizations, with particular interest in education, immigration, and entrepreneurship.

Vivek Vaidya
CTO & Co-Founder

Vivek is responsible for the roadmap and build out of Krux's technology platform. He has been developing software for over 15 years, mostly in early stage startups. Prior to Krux, Vivek was the CTO of Rapt, where he was responsible for Rapt's technology strategy and product architecture. Vivek holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of Denver and an M.S. in Mathematics and Computer Applications from IIT Delhi. Outside of work, Mr. Vaidya enjoys cooking, traveling, reading mystery novels and playing squash, cricket and tennis. He lives in San Francisco with his wife, Pallavi, and young son, Viplav.

Matt Kilmartin
Chief Revenue Officer

Matt leads the Krux sales team with responsibilities for client acquisition and retention.  He has a diverse background having successfully led sales teams in technology, media, and data solutions.  Prior to Krux, Matt spent nearly 9 years at Akamai Technologies where he had many different roles.  He was a top performer in their Enterprise Sales division before joining the Advertising Decision Solutions (ADS) team in 2008.  His most recent assignment at Akamai was running Sales and Account Management for the ADS business unit (formerly aCerno).  Matt has his BA from Wofford College, MBA from Babson College, and is a graduate of MIT Sloan's Executive Program.

Michael Moreau
COO, Link Data Cloud

Mike is an expert in data-driven strategies and brings nearly 20 years of experience to his position at Krux. As COO of the Link Data Cloud, he is responsible for connecting data owners with buyers for a wide range of use cases including advertising, commerce, content recommendation, experience management, social, email, among others 

Previously, Mike served as vice president of digital at GateHouse Media, which owned 400 local and regional media properties. He was responsible for digital strategy, operations, product development, programmatic trading, and ad technology. He also managed the company’s implementation of the Krux DMP. He was co-founder and chief operating officer of ReviNet (acquired by PubMatic); and held senior revenue and business management positions at Boston.com. He started his career at Arthur Andersen.  Mike has a B.S. in accounting and information systems from the University of Massachusetts.

David Ron
Chief Financial Officer

David is a senior-level financial executive with more than 25 years of experience managing technology companies with growth and scaling operations, arranging for their capital requirements, and driving each to successful and high valuation outcomes. He is responsible for Krux’s financial and administrative management and is based in the firm’s San Francisco headquarters. Prior to joining Krux, David was Director of Investment Banking for Centaur Partners. Previously, he was CFO and VP Finance for Market6; VP Finance at Rapt (acquired by Microsoft); CFO at Global Sight Corp. (acquired by Transware); CFO at TV Interactive Corp.; and treasurer for Metaphor Computer Systems (acquired by IBM). Mr. Ron holds a Series 79 FINRA certification. He is a graduate of Boston University.

Jon Suarez-Davis
Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer

Jon Suarez-Davis (jsd) oversees global marketing communications and brand-building initiatives designed to elevate the Krux brand and accelerate growth across key customer segments. He also guides marketplace strategy and internal marketing capabilities for Krux. Jon joined Krux after six years at the Kellogg Company, where he was Vice President of Global Media & Digital Strategy.  At the Kellogg Company, Jon was responsible for building the media and digital marketing team within the Capability & Commercialization Organization (CCO), and for providing strategic leadership for the Global Marketing organization across paid, owned and earned channels. In addition, Jon led the North America media strategy and social media management teams. Before his career at the Kellogg Company, Jon was SVP of Digital Strategy and Planning at Leo Burnett/Starcom where he was a member of the leadership team responsible for the global Kellogg account. Previously, he played a leadership role in building Biggs|Gilmore-- now VML--into one of the most awarded and recognized digital agencies in North America. As VP of Digital Strategy, he led the strategy group responsible for developing integrated marketing communications for Johnson & Johnson, Kimberly-Clark, DuPont and Kellogg. Jon is a frequent speaker at industry events including ANA, IAB, OPA, iMedia and The Festival of Media, and The Internationalist named him an Internationalist of the Year in 2014, as well as their “100 Marketing Leaders” list in 2013 and 2014.

Xavier Zang
Chief Solutions Officer

Xavier is a seasoned technology management executive who joined Krux subsequent to serving as an advisor to the company.  He is the former President of ZipRealty’s Powered by Zip business where he set strategic direction, launched a new SaaS platform product line, drove growth and sold the business to Realogy (NYSE: RLGY).  Mr. Zang joined ZipRealty from Microsoft Advertising where he held numerous global leadership positions.  He joined Microsoft through the acquisition of Rapt, a media monetization software company, where he led all market-facing activity.  His prior professional experience includes R.B. Webber & Co., Viant Corporation, McKinsey & Company, and Accenture.  

Xavier earned an M.B.A. from the Walter A. Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley and a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.

Joydip Das
VP, Products

Joydip Das previously served as vice president of product management, cloud technology and integration for SAP-owned Ariba, one of the world’s largest business commerce platforms. In this role, he led product teams to deliver new mobile applications, big data analytics and data security solutions. Previously, Joydip held various product development and engineering positions at SAP, including helping to pioneer the first enterprise cloud solution. He has also held engineering positions at Hewlett Packard. Joydip received his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Systems from Monash University and his Master of Engineering in Information Technology from RMIT University, both located in Melbourne, Australia.

Jo Gaines
Managing Director, APAC

Jo Gaines is Krux's country manager for Australia and New Zealand. She has over 20 years of media experience and has earned recognition as an early pioneer in digital media. Before joining Krux, Jo served as chief revenue officer at Brandscreen, APAC's first and only demand-side platform provider, where she managed the Australian commercial and marketing team. Prior to Brandscreen, she was head of consumer brands at CBS Interactive. She also started and served as CEO of Digital Media Options Pty, Ltd, a digital media consultancy specializing in optimizing and monetizing digital assets for brands. Jo's greatest passion is motherhood; she and her husband are parents to two beautiful daughters. Jo is also an avid long-distance runner  and competes in marathons around the world.

Masahiro Kano
Country Manager, Japan

As Krux’s Country Manager in Japan, Kano-san is responsible for expanding Krux’s presence and leading the company’s business development. Prior to joining Krux, Mr. Kano served as CEO of TubeMogul Japan, where he started and grew the video advertising business. Previously, he served for more than 11 years as CEO of NetRatings (now Nielsen Japan), where he established the practice of online audience measurement throughout Japan. Kano-san has also held senior positions for the Japanese branch of several American companies, including President of McAfee Japan, Sales Director of Novell Japan, General Manager of WordPerfect Japan.

Joe Reid
Managing Director, Europe

As Krux's Managing Director of Europe, Joe drives the marketing and sales strategy, partnerships and client relationships. Previously, Joe served as Krux's Vice President of North American Publisher Sales. Prior to joining Krux, Joe held various senior positions across the data-driven advertising ecosystem, including Vice President of Business Development at Paradysz and Senior Director at Merkle, where he established and evangelized multimedia-planning tool LogicLab. Joe holds a BA from The University of Connecticut, as well as an MBA from Fordham University. Joe, his wife and two children live in London and enjoy exploring Europe in their spare time.

Roopak Gupta
VP, Applications & Data

Roopak is vice president of applications and data overseeing the design, development, and management of Krux Data platform.  He is a veteran in providing technically complex yet deceptively simple solutions that solve real world business problems.  Prior to Krux, Roopak was Sr. Development Lead at Microsoft where he led the team responsible for the demand modeling framework for their Yield Management Platform.  Previously, he was also the Chief Architect at Rapt where he developed standard-setting yield analytics, pricing and inventory management solutions for digital media. Roopak holds a BTech. in computer science from IIT, Delhi.

Jos Boumans
VP, Operations & Infrastructure

Jos is responsible for Infrastructure & Operations at Krux. He has over 15 years of software development and operations experience, both in the enterprise as well as the open source community. Prior to Krux, Jos ran the team behind the Ubuntu Linux server distribution at Canonical and he ran the RIPE Database, which is responsible for all of the authoritative IP address data in Europe, the Middle East & Asia.
